MAGNA ECO: Sustainable design globe - base recycled from bioplastic food packaging
The MagnaEco globe series is an exciting addition to the TROIKA design globes. The unique base of the globe was designed by the renowned company BatchWorks in England and manufactured in the Netherlands using a 3D printing process. The material used for this, rPLA, is a recycled plastic made from renewable raw materials such as corn starch. Originally, this bioplastic was used to make food packaging, which was recycled after use and processed into 3D printing filament. It takes around 2.5 hours to print the base of our globe. With this innovative approach, we give recycled material a new, long-term purpose and thus actively contribute to environmental protection.
